Parental Support
To help make the Scout Group run efficiently and effectively, parents are asked to support the group in a number of ways as follows:
Scout Group Ethos
Support our ethos of friendship, cooperation and mutual support, both between parents and children.
Parental Rota System
We ask every family to nominate a person onto our rota. This adult will be expected to sign up to support no more than one meeting per term.
Dress and Attendance
We ask all parents to commit to the Scout Group as follows.
Ensure your child arrives in the correct dress for meetings, looking clean and tidy.
Encourage your child to attend the local key events, camps and district events wherever possible.
Inform leaders if your child is going to be absent for more than 2 weeks, so their place can be reserved for them. Absence for more than 3 weeks, without a reason, could result in their place being offered to a child on the waiting list.
Scout Group AGM
The AGM is held in July each year and takes the form of an end of year party for all the children, with entertainment and refreshments provided by the children. We encourage parents to attend, as this an opportunity for them to meet the adults leading the Beavers, Cubs and Scout groups.
