Important Events

During the year there are two important parades that all Scout Group members will be expected to attend.

St George's Day Parade

This event takes place on Sunday in April each year.  It involves a parade with all the other Scout Groups in the Malvern District.  It is an opportunity for all the children and leaders to show off how smart we are on this traditional parade.  The organisation of the event is rotated through each Scout group in the Malvern District.

Remembrance Day Parade

This event takes place onthe closest Sunday to 11 November each year.  It normally involves a parade in Upton upon Severn joining other members of the local community to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts.  It is an opportunity for all the children and leaders to show our commitment to the community.

Annual Camp

This is an internal Scout Group event,  organised by the section leaders for all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.  It is an important experience for everyone in the group and is a very successful event enjoyed by all.

Scout Group Joint Events

These are internal Scout Group joint activities, held throughout the year, involving the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts attending the same event.  This allows all sections to get to know each other and develop a Scout Group bond, which helps when children move up to the Cubs and Scouts. Dates will be published as soon as they are known.

District Events

These are external events organised by the local district scouting organisation throughout the year for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We join other scouting groups to share the experience and learn from them and them from us.  It also provides an opportunity to meet other children who are at their local schools; broadening their friendship base. Dates will be published as soon as they are known.
